NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) -- A long-time educator and former broadcaster Hilda Hill has died.
Hill was the host of "The Colonel's Cook" on WTWV, now WTVA, during the 1950's.
The 45 minute show aired five days a week.
Hill was born in Calhoun City, but later moved to Tupelo with her family.
She later moved to Union County and spent the next few years in the classroom in Union County, New Albany, Northeast Mississippi Community College, and Blue Mountain College.
Funeral services for Hilda Hill we take place Tuesday at 11 a.m. at United Funeral Services in New Albany.
Hilda Hill was 83 years old.
