KOSCIUSKO, Miss. (WTVA) -- An Attala County family got an early morning wakeup call when firefighters were called to the scene of a car fire early Friday morning.
WTVA News Partner KosyOnline.com reports the fire was discovered on County Road 1154 east of Kosciusko around 1:40 a.m.
The Attala Central Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene and spent nearly a half hour trying to extinguish the flames.
A nearby home was threatened by the fire, but the fire was contained and the home suffered no damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
