BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- One school in Prentiss County took a major step in raising funds to build a new playground at the school.
On Wednesday, representatives with Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial presented Hills Chapel School at check for $5000.
School principal Nicky Marshall says the money will be used to help match a grant they received for the project.
Marshall says the currently playground equipment has been in place for years and is out-dated.
He says they hope to have the new playground finished by the end of the school year.
Hills Chapel School currently has over 500 students and serves grades kindergarten and 8th grade.
