TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) -- A man wanted by Missouri authorities has been arrested following the investigation into a traffic accident in Alabama.

A Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson says troopers were assisting the Alabama Highway Patrol by conducting an interview with Ralph Colburn, 52, of Branson.

Branson was hospitalized in Tupelo after the accident.

MHP official say a background check shows Colburn is wanted for attempted forcible rape, felonious restraint and unlawful use of a weapon.

Colburn was released from the hospital and is currently in the Lee County Adult Detention Center awaiting extradition to Stone County, Missouri.
