OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) -- A law enforcement sweep in Oxford looking for illegal drugs ended with the arrest of 31 people on various charges.
The Lafayette County Metro Narcotics Unit says the operation recovered stolen property, firearms and drugs.
Operation Noble Shepherd started last Thursday night and continued through the weekend.
Those arrested are charged with violations of the Mississippi Uniform Controlled Substance Act.
Agencies involved in the operation include units with Ole Miss Police, Lafayette County Sheriff's Department, Oxford Police, U. S. Marshal's, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the District Attorney's office.
