Unseasonably warm for just one more day in the near future. That day is today. We will see most high temperatures reach into the middle 80's to lower 90's. If you are wondering about the record high for today . . . . . It is 90 from back in 1938 for the city of Tupelo. So, it will be a close call on that record. If you do not like this unseasonably warm weather, well you have yourself a treat coming real soon. A frontal system will pass through the area on Tuesday. We will see the coldest weather of the season move into the area. Most of the high temperatures on Wednesday through Friday will be in the 50's and 60's. While, our overnight lows for the later week will drop off into the 30's for the most part. Get ready for some widespread frost. Get ready for some of the normally colder spots falling to near freezing.
The frontal passage tomorrow will not only bring into the area some colder weather. We will also see a good chance for some showers and thunderstorms. I cannot rule out a few heavy ones in the area. So, once again get ready for some bigtime weather chages.
