We are UPGRADING the potential for damaging wind and possibly tornadoes for Thursday Afternoon/Evening. We encourage you to "Share" this discussion with your friends/family.

Overview---
Strong storms are likely to move from west to east through North MS/AL late Thursday and early Friday. A squall line producing damaging wind will be the most widespread impact by late evening, but an initial round of rogue/discrete storms could develop as early as 2-3pm Thursday.

Timing---
Round1: 2pm-7pm in Central/NW Mississippi.
Round2 (Stronger/More likely): 6pm-8pm in NW MS.
8pm-10pm in North Central MS.
10pm-1AM NE MS and NW AL and Golden Triangle.
Round 2 will move from NW to the SE.

Impacts--
Round1: It's possible that Round1 does not materialize, but if it does, impacts could be tornadoes/wind/hail.
Round2: Round2 is likely. Main impact will be damaging winds in excess of 65-70mph. Isolated tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Hail/heavy rain are also likely. Round2 will likely be more significant than Round1.
