Stationary front means a front that is not moving much of anywhere in the near future. The stationary front currently in our area, gave us the patches of rain and scattered thunderstorms on our Saturday. This front will linger in the area and keep chances for some showers and storms in the forecast through the middle portion of next week. I cannot rule a few stronger storms in the mix at times. Temperatures will continue to stay well above normal through the next several days. Most of our highs will be in the 50's and 60's, while most of our overnight lows will be in the 40's and 50's.
Much colder air is just around the corner for the area. By the later portion of the upcoming work week, we will see most high temperatures stay in the 40's and most of our overnight lows will drop off into the teens and 20's. So do not worry cold weather fans, plenty more cold air is in store for our winter. By the way for all the people that called on Saturday and mentioned things on social media about global warming kickin' in . . . . . Well, we will see how globally warm we are by later next week. Most of the Eastern half of the US will fall into a much colder pattern.
