Over the next couple of days it looks like we are in for some pretty good chances of rain and even some isolated/scattered thunderstorms. This will all be due to bit of low (upper air) pressure that is moving through Mississippi and Western Alabama. We will linger some pretty good chances for rain and thunderstorms until later portions of Saturday. By later on Saturday this bit of low pressure moves off our west and allows room for some high pressure to build into our area from our east. This will bring back into Mississippi and Western Alabama the doldrums of Summer . . . . . You know, the hot and humid weather with just those so slight chances for some rain.
Temperatures for the next few days will be influenced by the by the showers and thunderstorms. Parts of Mississippi and Western Alabama that end up seeing the activity over the next few day, may struggle to get out of the 70s. However, a few areas will get just a bit of sunshine and warm up nicely into the low to middle 80s. After the low pressure slides to our west, we will tap into the 90s for highs. We will see the heat index also climb up into the oppressive levels in some areas.
