A strong cold front will move through the area on our Sunday. We will see some areas of rain and storms ahead of this front. Some of the storms may be on the very strong to severe side this morning. Heavy rainfall will also be very likely with the passage of this cold front.
The cold front will slow down by great leaps and bounds on Sunday evening and into Monday, just to our southeast. This will linger some chances for rain as we go into the early portion of next week. Brief isolated mixes of precipitation are not out of the question on our Monday.
Temperatures behind the front will drop off by great leaps and bounds. During the wee hours of Sunday we will continue to see temperatures in the 60s and 70s, while later in the day we drop off into the 30s and 40s. These 30s and 40s will linger across the area as our high temperatures as we go through the upcoming work week.
FYI we topped off at 76 degrees in Tupelo on our Saturday. We broke the old record of 71 (can you believe 5 degrees warmer?) from back in the years of 2000 and 1995.
