Weather-wise we are now in the Summer season.  Albeit, temperatures and weather may differ a bit in other seasons when one compares Mississipp/Alabama to as in this example to Omaha, Nebraska.  We are pretty much in the same temperature boat when it comes to Summer.  Normal high this time of year here in Tupelo is 90, while the normal high temperature in Omaha is 86.  Which is only 4 degrees cooler.  The one big difference is that Omaha is in their severe weather season, while here in Mississippi/Alabama we just got out of our season here at the end of May.  As you may have noticed in the forecast for the last couple of days, Omaha has seen a lot more in the way of stronger storms.
The first game of the College World Series, missed out on the rain and storms.  That was good news for all that attended.  Most likely this evening it will be the same story, as chances for a thunderstorm are on the slim side.  It looks like most of the heavy duty severe weather will be just to the east of Omaha.  While in our area today and the next several days we will see the typical isolated/widely scattered showers and thunderstorms pop up here and there, but not everywhere.
