We had a Friday that had temperatures in the 80s to lower 90s for high temperatures.  The humidity values were definitely nowhere as high as what we saw just a few days ago.  Instead of over 100 heat index we saw the heat index match the temperatures for the most part.  We will see one more day of such weather on our Saturday.  We will stay mostly on the dry side across Mississippi and Western Alabama.
Temperatures will change a bit as we go into the upcoming work week.  We will see the high temperatures climb back into the middle 90s.  We will see the heat index climb back into the 100 to 110 degree range.  All of this due to a shift in the surface wind.  Instead of cooler and dry Canadian air being our source for Mississippi and Western Alabama.  The source air will be coming into Mississippi and Alabama from The Gulf of Mexico.  Along with this increase in temperature and humidity values, we will see the increase in chances for some showers and thunderstorms.  Some of the thunderstorms will be on the heavy and strong side at times.
