As an area of low pressure works its way eastward across The Northern Gulf of Mexico, we will see a chance for a variety of weather in North Mississippi and Western Alabama.  Isolated to scattered areas of precipitation mix will be possible across North Mississippi and Western Alabama during the morning on Monday right after sunrise through the late morning.  By late morning and into the afternoon most of the precipitation will turn into a light to moderate rain.  This light to moderate rain will linger in patch to widespread form through the overnight and into Tuesday.  By Tuesday afternoon we will see the rain change back briefly into a rain and snow mix and eventually by evening into snow showers, especially the better chances of this switch the farther north you are in the area.  By Tuesday night we will see some leftover light snow showers and another blast of colder air moving into the area.  As of the time of this writing, it does not look like this event will become a bigtime slippery weather condition event for the area.  However, stay tuned for further development on this changing weather event.
