We have see some pretty good areas of rainfall and storms across the area this weekend.  We will still continue to see some scattered showers, thundershowers and a few isolated stronger storms at times over the next several days.  Albeit, we will not see as much rainfall as we saw on Saturday across the area.  This lesser trend chance for rain started today and as mentioned will continue  for the next several days, due to high pressure moving into the area to control our weather.  This high pressure will not be as strong as the high pressure that controlled our weather a few weeks ago.  Remember, the one that gave us all that dry weather and roughly 10 to 14 days of temperatures above the 95 degree mark?

Due to the lesser chances for rainfall across the area, we will see a gradual warming trend happen over the next several days.  Most of the high temperatures during this upcoming week should be in the 90s.  Our ugly old heat index will try to make a return too.  We could see some areas go above 100 in the heat index.  Well, we are in the dang ditch of Summer.
