Cold Canadian and Arctic air moves into Mississippi and Alabama on our Tuesday. We will linger the much below normal cold air in Mississippi and Alabama all the way through the work week for the most part. The coldest of the morning lows will be on Wednesday and Thursday morning when we will drop off to 27 and 24 respectively (Do not be surprised that on Thursday morning some of the normally colder spots of North Mississippi and Northwest Alabama will drop off into the teens). If you are wondering about about what the record lows are for those days . . . . . For Wednesday it is 23 from back in 1977 and for our Thursday the record low is 22 from back in 1940. Most of Mississippi and Alabama will recover in the temperature category by next weekend with highs back into the 60s.
