Merry Christmas Eve morning! It's been a cold one so far but at least we have sunny skies. Sun will continue but temps won't get too warm at all. We'll top out near 37F and with a 5-10 mph north wind again today, wind chills will top out near 32F. Stay bundled up all day doing those last minute errands!

No travel problems are expected around the Southeast today. We'll all be sunny and chilly! Elsewhere in the US there may be travel problems though, especially heading north where snow is expected from the Dakotas to Wisconsin and the rest of the northern Great Lakes area.

Arctic high pressure has settled right over us, bringing lots of sun and cold temperatures. Those will continue today and tomorrow. Your thickest winter coat, scarf, and gloves will be necessary for late church tonight or early church tomorrow morning. It will be the coldest morning of the week at 20F! Brr! At least without any wind there will be no wind chill. Tomorrow will be sunny and warmer, with a high of 46F.

High pressure will scoot east tomorrow afternoon, allowing for some warm(er) flow from the south to make its way here. From Thursday morning onward we'll have mornings in the upper 20's to near freezing. Still cold, but not too bad! Tons of sun will stick around too, and that warmer air will help get us in to the low 50's from Thursday through Sunday afternoons.

Our next chance for rain comes with a cold front on Monday. Most of us will be dry because there won't be enough moisture to squeeze out many showers. Colder air will filter in behind that front again, with highs Monday in the upper 30's.

Have a great day!
