Mild weather will be the rule for Mississippi and Western Alabama for the next several days (We could see high temperatures near 70 during the afternoon during the middle portion of the upcoming work week).  Temperatures will cool off by great leaps and bounds toward the end of the work week and into the upcoming weekend.  We will see some showery conditions for the next day or two, however by later in the week we will see some good chances for rain and a few isolated thunderstorms (some of which could be on the hefty side).  This rain and thunderstorm activity will be along and ahead of the cold blast of air that is headed our way for the end of the work week and into the weekend.  By this weekend the cold air will linger for the weekend and into early next week, along with the lingering cold air, we will see some precipitation linger.  So all this could make for an interesting week of weather.  Stay tuned to this soap opera.
