wx wall joel happy thursday!! a few isolated showers will track through the area early thursday morning. otherwise, we begin the day under partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid-70s. as we head through the day, we'll see a mixture of sunshine and clouds. temperatures heat up quickly, likely into the lower to mid-90s. heat index values will be anywhere from 98 to 108 this afternoon. a few stronger storms are possible later in the afternoon, producing strong damaging wind on top of torrential rainfall and frequent lightning. then as we head into your friday, temperatures climb even more. highs will reach the mid, possibly even upper 90s by the afternoon. heat index values could reach the 103 to 113 degree range, making friday possibly the hottest day so far this year. a few spotty strong to severe storms are also possible
