we did once again see some areas of scattered showers and thunderstorms. strong to severe thunderstorms at times did produce some cloud to ground lightning and strong winds. otherwise, we did see most of our area top off well into the 90s with the heat index over 100 degrees in many areas. as we go through the evening and overnight hours, we will continue to see some isolated showers and thunderstorms at times. otherwise, mostly clear to partly cloudy skies will be the rule. most of our overnight low temperatures will drop off down into the middle 70s. as we go though the next several days, we will continue to see some scattered showers and thunderstorms as the rule across our area. we may see just a little better chance for some showers and thunderstorms on our monday and tuesday as a weak cold front tries to move into our area. we will see a few of the thunderstorms get a little on the strong side at times, even some isolated severe thunderstorms are not out of the question. most of our highs will be in the seasonable lower to middle 90s with some upper 80s in the mix at times. we will see the heat index go above 100 degrees in many areas each afternoon. we will see most of our overnight low temperatures drop off down into the lower to middle 70s with some areas next week seeing a few upper 60s. more than
