prescott's two day pro- camp at mississippi state wrapped up this afternoon. with the offseason winding down, dak turns his attention to cowboys training camp, which begins july 26th in oxnard california. fall." dak prescott was all smiles on saturday as he hosted a youth football camp at mississippi state. but with cowboys training camp quickly approaching, dak knows how important this season will be. dak prescott: "first year went well, second year didn't go so well, according to me or according to cowboys fans or anyone, it wasn't our expectations so just to come in this year having a lot of doubters, having a lot of naysayers. so it's good to come in and be able to prove people wrong. that's what i've been trying to do my whole life, so it'll be exciting to do it again.' dak will have to put up big numbers and rack up winsto silence critics who are eager to call him a flash in the pan. with dez bryant's release and jason witten's retirement, cowboys owner jerry jones says the cowboys will have a 'dak friendly' offense in 2018. even dak himself is a little confused about what that term really means. dak prescott: 'i don't know, i guess it's a misnomer to say the least. maybe it's something looking a little bit like mississippi state offense, who knows what it is really. i'm not gonna give away too much but i know we've got a lot of playmakers, i know we've got a lot of guys that can contribute, are gonna contribute and a lot of guys that people don't know about just yet. it's gonna be exciting watching them create a name for themselves this fall.' sec media days begins tomorrow in atlanta. texas a m, kentucky, and lsu kick off the festivities. tuesday features ole miss and florida. mississippi state and alabama take their turn on wednesday. look for live reports from atlanta withwtva sports director jim holder and me beginning at 4 o'clock monday... finally, what a scene this afternoon in minneapolis... the rays and twins tied at 7 in the bottom of the 7th... fulton native brian dozier delivers a walk-off grand slam. dozier's 16th homer of the year lifts the twinkies to an 11-7 win over tampa bay. don't look now, but minnesota has quietly won 9 of their last 11 games... that's sports, we're back after this.
