northeast baseball's tucker childers will don the red, white and blue later this summer. childers has accepted an invitation to play for the national junior college team and will represent the united states at the national baseball congress world series in august. the ripley native split time between catcher and first base at northeast. childers is in maryland tonight playing in the cal ripken all-star game. northeast coach richy harrelson says he's not surprised by all the accolades childers is receiving, and he adds that playing for the usacan only help him.
