rain and frequent lightning. otherwise, we'll remain partly to mostly cloudy with showers becoming a bit more widespread overnight. temperatures dip into the lower and mid- 70s. then as we head into your thursday morning, showers and storms become a bit more widespread. flash flooding along with strong, damaging winds will be the main threats out of these storms on thursday. storms remain widespread into thursday afternoon, keeping temperatures mostly in the upper 70s to lower 80s for highs. we'll see a few more waves of these strong to severe storms through the evening on thursday and into friday morning as well. temperatures drop into the lower to mid- 70s again friday morning. then in the afternoon, we'll see a few more scattered showers and storms. highs will be a bit warmer, likely into the mid and upper 80s. otherwise, expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions to linger into friday night and saturday morning. we'll continue to see a few more showers and storms on saturday, some of which could be on the stronger side. temperatures will be a little hotter as well, since storms will not be quite as widespread. we'll likely climb into the upper 80s to lower 90s. then as we gradually dry out even more on sunday, we'll see highs in the lower 90s. we'll see more isolated storms into early next week. but otherwise, it will be sunny, hot and humid. afternoon highs through the first half of next week should easily climb into the lower and mid-90s with heat index values likely getting into the upper 90s to lower 100s. for more details, visit wtva.com and download our weather authority app.
