20 pounds of pot land 2 men in jail. this after a normal traffic stop in new albany. wtva's evan hensley has more on this story. ." as live chief robertson told me that the 2 men were passing through town yesterday afternoon when officer pulled them over. sot chris robertson, chief of police "it was about 4:30 yesterday afternoon one of my officers was on routine patrol." the officer pulled over a car for an improper lane change. robertson "while conducting the traffic stop the officer became suspicious, asked for consent to search, got consent to death from ge driver and the passenger." what he found was 2 duffle bags full of high-grade marijuana. robertson "weighed in at almost 22 pounds, street value is basically around $40,000." gary kirk originally from pontotoc and indian amite kumar of california are both being charged with the trafficing of narcotics. robertson "they are currently being held in the union county detention center awaiting to make their bond." as live and robertson told me that each have of the men have $30,000 bond. reporting in new albany, evan hensley, wtva 9
