miss is once again hosting its annual "rebel road trip." the caravan got underway earlier this week, and one of today's stops was tupelo's bancorpsouth conference center. hopefully, you saw andy lee's live reports bright and early this morning. this year's rebel road trip includes three new head coaches. kermit davis, just hired as men's basketball coach. yolett mcphee-mccuin, just hired as women's basketball coach. and head football coach matt luke. this time last year, he was an assistant. then, last summer, he was named interim head coach, and following a six-and-six campaign, luke had the interim tag removed in late november. nice crowd on hand this morning in tupelo. the three new coaches, along with athletic director ross bjork, say they're enjoying their time on the road. matt luke: 'the ole miss brand nationally is as good as its ever been. we talk about walking through the airports if you have something 'ole miss' on it, somebody's gonna say 'hotty toddy.' we're just selling the ole miss brand, but that's nationally, but being proud of being mississippi made.' kermit davis: 'it's good for me just to meet some of the ole miss people and today come to tupelo, mississippi, a place where my dad won two state championships in high school, my daughter lives here, my mom, dad, sister so it's a fun morning for us.' ross bjork: 'you know with three new coaches, three new leaders, they need to see people, people need to see their vision and their energy, so it's great to be among the ole miss family.' icc and northeast's
