was in starkville and has this recap.... jim: "there would be no 16 seed upsetting a one seed here on saturday in starkville. the bulldogs rolling to a 45-point victory. after the game, vic schaefer was still concerned about his team. they hadn't played in nearly two weeks, and they were still showing some rust." vic: "it's my job to try to help get that rust knocked off, and right now, i'm obviously not doing a very good job. we are really rusty in a lot of areas, i thought this time last year, we came back and were really sharp, and we're not very sharp. we've basically got 48 hours to figure it out." teaira: "we had a lot of turnovers, you know, some unforced turnovers and some were forced, so, i mean, just getting back to containing the ball and not turning it over, that's what we need to work on." victoria: "like teaira said, unforced turnovers, then defensively, we were like, not doing as good as we should, we would deny the ball, and no ball pressure, letting them get open shots, and they were getting layups. i feel like we just weren't focused on that end, and we are rusty, and i feel like the next couple of days, we've gotta lock down, and get engaged." blair: "we would get in a groove, and then we would lose it, and in the past, we've been really good about our chemistry, and our chemistry is still there, we just have to work on all five, it's an all-five game, and right now, we'll have like four, something like that, but i think that's gonna come with more focus, and as a veteran team, we'll have that fixed for next game." jim: "next up for mississippi state, a second-round game here monday night at 8 in the hump against oklahoma state. we'll have more on that game on sunday. reporting in starkville, jim holder, wtva 9 sports."
