good friday morning! we're beginning our day with partly cloudy skies. temperatures are mild, well into the 60s once again. a few isolated showers, perhaps a thunderstorm will be possible this morning. the greatest potential for this will be found in our northwestern counties. other than that, expect to see some sunshine come out at some point during the day. temperatures will climb into the upper 70s to lower 80s, making for another unseasonably mild day ahead. then later tonight, a few showers or thunderstorms roll through the area. these could be on the stronger side. but the severe potential holds off until saturday night. as we head into your saturday, we'll begin with partly to mostly cloudy skies. temperatures will be in the 60s. and through the day, we'll climb into the upper 70s and lower 80s, much like we will today. but as we head into the night saturday, a cold front slides through the area. as it does, it could bring some strong, damaging winds and some potential for an isolated tornado. right now, the threat level for saturday night is a 3 on a scale of 1 to 5 for areas northwest of the natchez trace. everyone else is at a 2 on the scale from 1 to 5. then by saturday morning, we'll see partly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid 60s. we'll see a few isolated showers sunday. then we'll be dry on monday with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 60s. isolated showers return tuesday night with temperatures in the upper 60s duiring the day. low 70s return on wednesday with showers and storms. then we'll be back in the mid-60s by thursday with isolated showers. for more details, visit our websites at wtva.com and wlov.com.
