story -- a prentiss county deputy dragged by a car while working a drug case. now he's in the hospital. and law enforcement is trying to find the driver. wtvas symone woolridge joins us live in prentiss county with what she is just learning from the sheriff. i am actually standing where the incident happen at the intersection of s lake street and lakeview drive.deputies just came out of this duplex... after speaking with the sheriff here he tells me it all started when police arrested a man who had a good amount of cocaine on him.. they had been watching him for a while.as narcotics officers stayed near the duplex.. a vehicle pulled up asking where the man was..officers continued with conversation.. and went to open the door of the vehicle.thats when the vehicle sped off and the officer was dragged.he is being checked out at the hospital.now police are looking for a grey dodge charger with a paper tag.two black males were in that vehicle. they say theyve had run ins with the law before.. and rather now reveal their names just yet.. the law before.. and rather now reveal their names just yet.. but if you recognize the vehicle please call the sheriffs dept.reportig live se wtva 9 news. now onto a.story out
