The roots run deep in North Mississippi. A product of a Mississippi education David went to high school in Macon and college at Mississippi State University.
After trying radio for a few years he started volunteering for the MSU Television Center videotaping MSU baseball and doing voiceover work for the Ron Polk Show.
That led to a job as a sports videographer at a local television station starting in 1986, then a move to WTVA where he has been at home since 1990.
David has served as a videographer, reporter, assignment manager and producer winning numerous awards by the Mississippi Associated Press.
One of his favorite projects each year is “A Celebration of Hope”, a live two-hour telethon WTVA does for the North Mississippi Regional Rehabilitation Center.
In his off hours, he and his Australian border collie, Maddie (short for Madison) like to travel or spend time on the family estate.
