Southern Miss suffers another defeat

HUNTINGTON, West Virginia, (WTVA) - Marshall quarterback Rakeem Cato ties a career record with 5 touchdown passes en-route to a 61-13 victory over Southern Miss.

The Golden Eagles drop to (0-8) and (0-4) in conference play.

The lone touchdown for Southern Miss came when Nick Mullens connected with Markese Triplett for an 81 yard score.

The loss extends the nations longest losing streak to 20 games.

The Golden Eagles will look for their first victory since December of 2011 when they play at Louisiana Tech on Saturday, November 9th.
