HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WTVA/USM Athletics) - New Southern Miss football coach Todd Monken landed his first JUCO signee on Wednesday. Frederick Moore, an offensive lineman from Jones County Junior College, signed with the Golden Eagles.

The school says that Moore plans to enroll in January. He earned first-team NJCAA All-American offensive lineman accolades, as well as All-Region 23 and MACJC All-South Division first team honors in 2012.

JCJC finished the year with a (6-3) record.

Moore was named the MACJC South Division's Most Valuable Offensive Lineman and was projected as the 31st-ranked junior college player in the state and the 19th-ranked junior college offensive tackle in the country, both by 247sports.com.

The 6-foot-5, 325-pound lineman attended Heidelberg High School, where he was named the district's Best Offensive Lineman.
