OAKLAND, Calif. (WTVA/OaklandAs.com) - The Oakland Athletics agreed to terms with three more players from the First-Year Player Draft, the club announced Friday, including right-handed pitcher Bobby Wahl.
Wahl was (10-0) with a 2.03 ERA and .197 opponents batting average in 16 starts for Ole Miss in 2013. He earned third team Louisville Slugger All-America honors and was named a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award.
In three seasons with the Rebels, he went (17-6) with a 2.62 ERA in 51 appearances including 34 starts.
Oakland drafted Wahl in the 5th Round (161st Overall). Wahl was a junior in 2013 and decided to sign with the A's, skipping his senior year with the Rebels.
Baseball America reports that the deal is worth $500,000.
