OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss righthander Bobby Wahl has been named the SEC Pitcher of the Week.
The junior gave up a lead-off double to open the game Friday against TCU, but didn't allow a hit again until the sixth inning and retired ten of the next eleven batters.
Wahl allowed just three hits in the win. He also struck out eight batters, two shy of his career high of ten.
The Rebels host Tennessee-Martin on Wednesday at four p.m. Wahl's next start is this weekend against Rhode Island.
