OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA/Ole Miss Athletics) - Kickoff for the 2012 Egg Bowl between Ole Miss and Mississippi State has been set for 6:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, Nov. 24, the Southeastern Conference announced Monday.
The game will be televised by ESPNU from Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford. It will be the 85th edition of the Egg Bowl and the 109th meeting overall between the in-state rivals.
Ole Miss (5-5, 2-4 Southeastern Conference) will travel to Death Valley this weekend to face No. 7 LSU (8-2, 4-2) on Saturday. The Rebels are looking to become bowl-eligible for the first time since 2009. Kickoff is 2:30 p.m. CT, televised by CBS.
Mississippi State (7-3, 3-3 SEC) hosts Arkansas on Saturday. The Bulldogs will honor their senior class before the game, including Nick Bell. Bell died of cancer during the 2010 season. Head coach Dan Mullen announced Monday that Bell's mother will be in attendance and that Nick will be announced along with the rest of the senior class prior to Saturday's game.
