TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - The Alabama Crimson Tide remain No. 1 in the latest Associated Press college football poll, released Sunday. The Tide's 25-0 win over Western Kentucky keeps them ahead of No. 2 Southern Cal and No. 3 LSU.
The defending BCS National Champions received 48 of the 60 first place votes.
Meanwhile, the Arkansas Razorbacks tumbled from the Top 10 to unranked this week. After an overtime loss to UL-Monroe on Saturday night, the Razorbacks fell from No. 8 in the country to unranked (No. 27).
Arkansas is the highest ranked team to fall from ranked to unranked in one week since Michigan dropped from No. 5 to unranked in 2007 after a loss to Appalachian State.
The Mississippi State Bulldogs were the only team from the state of Mississippi to receive any votes in the poll. MSU is No. 30 after a Saturday victory at home over Auburn.
Other SEC teams in the Top 25 include Georgia at No. 7, South Carolina at No. 8, Florida at No. 18 and Tennessee, which enters the poll at No. 23.
Six teams from the Southeastern Conference are ranked in the Top 25 and two others (Arkansas, Mississippi State) received votes in the poll.
