HOOVER, Ala. (WTVA) - With the conclusion of the regular season on Saturday, the field for the 2013 SEC Baseball Tournament has been set. Mississippi State fell a Friday night extra-innings loss shy of receiving a first-round bye, but will instead be the No. 5 seed in the tournament, which starts Tuesday.

Ole Miss finished a game back of MSU and is the tournament's No. 6 seed.

The Rebels will play in the first game of the SEC Tournament, as Ole Miss opens play with No. 11 Kentucky at 9:30 a.m. Mississippi State plays in the last game of the day on Tuesday, taking on No. 12 Missouri.

In the other Tuesday games, No. 7 Alabama faces No. 10 Auburn at the conclusion of Ole Miss/Kentucky and No. 8 Florida faces No. 9 Texas A&M at 4:30 p.m.

All Tuesday games are single-elimination.

MSU has not played Missouri yet this season, the first for the Tigers as members of the Southeastern Conference. Ole Miss, meanwhile, dropped two of three games to the Wildcats during their series in Oxford in April. Both of the Rebel losses to Kentucky were by a single run.

The winner of the Ole Miss/Kentucky game will face No. 3 Arkansas on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. The winner of Mississippi State/Missouri will play in the late game Wednesday against No. 4 South Carolina.

The other teams receiving first round byes are No. 2 LSU (plays winner of Alabama/Auburn in the second game on Wednesday) and No. 1 Vanderbilt (plays winner of Florida/Texas A&M at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday).

Starting on Wednesday, tournament games are double-elimination until Saturday. The final two rounds of the SEC Tournament (Saturday and Sunday) are single-elimination.

The SEC Tournament Championship Game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. first pitch on Sunday.

Tennessee and Arkansas did not qualify for the 12-team field for this year's tournament.

All games will be played at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium (formerly Regions Park). All games will be televised, with games being broadcast on FSN, CSS, SportSouth, ESPNEWS (semifinals) and ESPN2 (championship).
