STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Less than two weeks before its season opener, Mississippi State has lost an offensive lineman to injury.

The school says Damien Robinson is out for the year with a torn ACL.

Robinson, a 6'8", 325-pounder from Olive Branch, Miss., was expected to start at right tackle. Among the possibilities at that position now are Justin Senior, Rufus Warren and Caledonia native Cole Carter.

MSU hosts Southern Miss to open the 2014 season on Aug. 30.
