STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA/AP) - Fabyon Harris scored 17 points, Elston Turner added 11 and Texas A&M rallied past Mississippi State for a 55-49 overtime win on Wednesday night.
Texas A&M (13-7, 3-4 Southeastern Conference) trailed by 14 points early in the second half, but recovered to snap a four-game losing streak. Harris made 8 of 13 shots from the field and Turner sank a crucial fadeaway jumper with 30 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Aggies a 53-49 lead.
J'Mychal Reese scored 10 points, including four in overtime.
Mississippi State's Craig Sword banked in a 3-pointer with 5.9 seconds left to tie the game at 47 and send it into overtime. Gavin Ware led the Bulldogs (7-12, 2-5 SEC) with 14 points while Colin Borchert added 10.
The Bulldogs took a 7-6 lead just 2:26 into the game and did not trail again until the Aggies grabbed a 39-37 lead on a Alex Caruso bucket 9:23 into the second half - 26 minutes and 57 seconds later.
MSU grabbed a 49-47 lead early in overtime, but would not score again as the Aggies scored the final 8 points of the game to pick up the win.
The Bulldogs have lost five straight.
