STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - Arnett Moultrie tied a season-high with 28 points, leading the Mississippi State Bulldogs (17-4, 4-2 Southeastern Conference) to a 76-71 victory against LSU on Wednesday night.
Moultrie shot 10-18 from the field and 8-11 on free throws, topping 20 points for the third time in his last four games. The junior added 12 rebounds to pick up his fourth-straight game with a double-double.
Jalen Steele matched his point total from Saturday's game against Vanderbilt and his season-high with 15 points. A series of consecutive three-pointers from Steele allowed for him to become a nationally trending topic on Twitter late in the first half.
Rodney Hood also posted double-digit points with 13.
Dee Bost finished the game with only 9 points, but added 7 rebounds and 10 assists.
Andre Stringer led the scoring for the Tigers (12-8, 2-4), posting 17 points off the bench for LSU.
Next up for Mississippi State is a road contest against the Florida Gators on Saturday afternoon.
