Bulldog players report to camp

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) - On September 1st, the Mississippi State Bulldogs will open up their 2012 football schedule.

On August 1st, football season officially began for the Bulldogs, as MSU players reported to preseason camp.

According to the Clarion-Ledger, MSU running back Kivon Coman and tight end Artimas Samuel, will not be reporting to camp and have enrolled at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia.

The Bulldogs will begin practicing on Thursday, with their first in-shoulder-pads practice coming on Sunday. Mississippi State opens the 2012 season in Starkville on September 1st, as the Bulldogs play host to Jackson State.

Mississippi State says that fans are invited out to open split practices on campus this Saturday, August 4th at 9:00am and 7:00pm respectively. Fan Day is scheduled for August 25th and 1:00pm.
