TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) - The Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) confirmed Friday that the kickoff times for all of its high school football games in 2013 will be 7:00 p.m.
Over the last few seasons, kickoffs in August and September were 7:30 p.m. because of the early season heat. The change was made to 7:00 p.m. for the entire season because of travel concerns for visiting teams.
The MHSAA says "classic" football games next season will be played Aug. 23 with opening games scheduled for Aug. 30. Fall practice for high school football begins on Aug. 5.
