The Bulldogs remained No. 2 in this week’s Associated Press Top 25 Poll while also maintaining the No. 2 overall seed in the NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Committee’s final Top 16 reveal.

The Bulldogs, who have been second in all three committee reveals, earned another week at No. 2 in the AP ranking after defeating Vanderbilt and No. 17 Texas A&M to clinch the first SEC regular-season championship for an MSU women’s team.

The pair of wins improved State to 28-0 overall and a school-best 14-0 in SEC play. The Dawgs and top-ranked UConn remained the only teams in the nation without a loss.

State earned its 71st-straight week in the poll and 35th-consecutive week in the Top 10. MSU’s run in the Top 25 is the sixth-longest active streak in the country, while its tenure in the Top 10 is the fifth-longest current run. The Bulldogs have been in the Top 5 for 11-straight weeks, the nation’s fourth-best active streak.

Mississippi State closes the regular-season home slate Thursday at 7 p.m. against Auburn. The Senior Night contest will be streamed online on the SEC Network +, while the MSU Radio Network will have the radio broadcast.
