OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA)  - Kyser Booth rushed for 106 yards and scored three touchdowns as Jefferson Davis County routed Yazoo County 36-7 to win the Class 3A state championship on Saturday.

Jefferson Davis County High School is in its first year of existence following the consolidation of Bassfield and Prentiss.

"Truly it's no more Bassfield and Prentiss. It's just Jeff Davis County, and I think they showed that today. They wanted to show the state. They wanted to make sure they went out on a high note," said Jefferson Davis County coach Lance Mancuso.

The Jaguar defense held Yazoo County to just 64 yards of total offense and sacked quarterback Kenny Gainwell four times.

The Panthers finished the season 14-1.
