LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- A special election will not be required to fill a seat on the Louisville Municipal School District Board of Trustees.

Winston County Circuit Clerk Kim Ming tells WTVA.com only one candidate, Sheila Hickman, qualified for the election for the District One post.

Ming says election commissioners will certify Hickman to the Mississippi Secretary of State's office.

Hickman will fill the seat of Claire Crowell who chose not to seek re-election to the post.

She will be sworn into the post in January.
