Man wanted in shooting turns himself in

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- Winston County authorities say the man wanted in connection with a shooting last month has turned himself in.

Authorities say Jamie Potts, who also uses the name Jamie McBride, was wanted connection with the shooting at a nightclub in the New Zion community of Winston County on July 28.

Karl Hopkins was shot in the arm with what authorities believe was a .45 caliber pistol.

Witnesses identified Potts as the shooter.

Potts turned himself in at the Choctaw County Sheriff's Department around 8:30 a.m.

Bond has been set at $5,000 on the Winston County charges.

He remains in the Winston/Choctaw County Regional Jail on seperate charges in Choctaw County.
