JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- A woman visiting her daughter in prison was arrested for bringing contraband into the facility.
Corrections Commissioner Chris Epps says Cindy Kay Turner, 55, of Maben was arrested on Saturday at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Rankin County.
Officials say she was found with drugs, including acetaminophen and hydrocodone, and jewelry concealed on her body.
Prison officials say Turner was visiting her daughter, Renae Langford,26, who is serving time for armed robbery in Webster County.
Introduction of contraband into a correctional facility is a felony punishable by three to fifteen years in prison, a maximum $25,000 fine or both.
Turner was booked into the Rankin County jail and is currently free on bond.
