JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) -- The Mississippi Department of Archives and History has set aside money for one project in Webster County and named two other north Mississippi locations as landmarks.

MDAH has awarded a $130,000 grant to the village of Mantee to relocate the historic depot to its original site on First Street.

The building would be stabilized and renovated to serve as a welcome center and community center.

The board also approved grants for three archeological digs in the state.

MDAH also named Sturgis Presbyterian Church and the Grenada Army Air Field Hangar as Mississippi Landmarks.

The Needmore Community in Oktibbeha County and Union Church in Lee County were also approved for state historic markers.
