EUPORA, Miss. (WTVA) — Firefighters say a Saturday morning fire has caused significant damage to Eupora High School.
Webster County officials originally said the area of the fire was around the library. Later in the day they told us it was centered in a break room of the school.
We're told the fire did not do any major damage to classrooms.
Emergency responders got the call about the fire around 11 a.m. It was brought under control a short time later.
School is expected to go on as planned Monday. Some students will not be able to use their classrooms because of smoke damage from the fire. They will use other buildings on campus.
Firefighters from Oktibbeha County responded along with Webster County firefighters.
