EUPORA, Miss. (WTVA) -- Firefighters extinguished the inferno that engulfed four businesses in Eupora.
Firefighters still don't know the cause of the fire.
Eupora firefighters said they started fighting the flames around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and didn't leave the scene until 10 o'clock when they were relieved the the By-Wy Fire Department.
The building was visibly burning from the outside until about 11:30 last night.
Merle Norman and FATCO building owner Gwen Rico says that she lost everything.
"It's just sad to think that fifteen years of your life have gone up in smoke," said Rico.
The blaze began in Maryetta's and spread to additional business from there
Fire fighters from several different counties and departments helped contain the blaze, and no injures occurred from civilians or the firefighters. That's a mark of pride to Webster County Public Information Officer Jimmy Forrester.
"A thing that we think about is the safety of our firefighters," Forrester said. "Our motto is everyone goes home safe."
Locals said that people from out of town helped out with the recover and support of those who were affected by the fire.
