NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WTVA) -- A registered nurse from New Albany has been arrested and charged with illegally obtaining a controlled substance.
Renee Arleen Frain, 30, turned herself into the Attorney General's Medicaid Fraud Unit and the Tippah County Sheriff's Office Friday.
Frain worked at Rest Haven Health and Rehabilitation in Ripley.
She allegedly took 16 tablets of hydrocodone from patients at the hospital for her own use.
Frain was released from the Tippah County jail on a $20,000 bond.
Authorities say, if convicted, Frain faces up to five years in prison.
