MYRTLE, Miss. (WTVA) -- Law enforcement in Union County has found the man wanted in connection with a shooting in Holly Springs.

According to officers, Cassel Javonta Vaughn ran away after Myrtle Police Chief Jim White pulled over a car Tuesday afternoon at the Myrtle One Stop on Highway 178.

Three others in the car with Vaughn were arrested in connection with the shooting that happened sometime around 3:15 p.m.

"We went to the scene and found...several shots fired into a house and into a vehicle parked at the house," said Holly Springs Police Chief William Hollowell.

The chief added no one was hurt in the shooting.

Hollowell said those who fled after the shooting drove east on Highway 178 before they were stopped in Myrtle and Vaughn disappeared.

Officers from multiple law enforcement agencies searched the area until Vaughn was taken into custody in town around 6:30 p.m.

"We believe that we have all the weapons and stuff recovered, and [we're] just proud it came to an end with no one being hurt," said Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards.
